Article discuss the basic directions of interdisciplinary interaction between museums and natural objects and sites, and suggest the original classification of those interactions proposed by the author (among them are: acquisition, study and presentation of museum collections; sphere of influence of the museum to the surrounding natural and anthropogenic landscapes; environmental management of museums).
