Museum as an educational resource: an analysis of the development of the educational space from Antiquity to the New time

The modern system of higher education is looking for new methods of teaching for students. Competence approach in education requires the graduate's ability to successfully operate on the basis of practical experience, skills and knowledge in solving professional problems, at the same time, the national doctrine of education requires high cultural competent. Thus, universities must graduate citizen, a culturally and professionally competent person. One of the characteristics of the Internet age is the expansion of the influence of information flow on the individual. In these conditions it is difficult to achieve the above-mentioned results of education through subject-object learning and passive perception of information in a traditional lecture. We want to highlight the relevance of the teaching in the cultural and educational space of the museum as one of the oldest forms of constructing the pedagogical process in the history of mankind. The article considers the main historical stages of the existence of the museum from the Antiquity to the New Time from the position of its development as an educational environment. The author of the article analyzes the historical study of the museum in the world culture of T.U. Yureneva [5], on the basis of the components of the educational environment identified by V.A. Yasvin [6, p. 6]. The data obtained the high pedagogical essence of the museum and the relevance of the use of the museum as one of the additional resources of the higher education system in the modern world.
