Museum as social and cultural centre of region

The article in question studies a museum as social institution that has socially significant functions in a region. Cultural and information environment of the region and the important role of the museum are analyzed. The target groups of museum communication are identified. The structure of communicative interaction «Museum-City» is suggested.
