Museum network of Russia: main characteristics and problems of study

The article analyzes in dynamics the main quantitative and qualitative parameters of the museum network of Russia, explores the problem of providing the country's population with museums and considers the shortcomings and gaps in the existing system of statistical monitoring of the museum sphere.
