"Third stream" music as a phenomenon of contemporary music culture

The article examines the influence of «third stream» music and on contemporary music culture. The article analyses the work of the representatives of very different music genres who developed «third stream» music. The article confirms that forming small groups and communities, where cultural exchange and mutual enrichment occur, leads to the emergence of a new cultural phenomenon. As the result of the research, it was found that «Third stream» music, which originated in the 20th century, had a great influence on contemporary music and art in general.
