Music in the life of Elias Lonnrot

The author refers to the issue, which has not been studies until now, that is domestic musicology, musical activities of an outstanding Finnish scientist of the XIX century, poet, linguist, folklorist, composer of Karelian-Finnish epic “Kalevala” Elias Lönnrot. The author examines in detail and examines the part of musical works of Lönnrot, complementing the existing ideas about his personality with new little-known facts.
