Musical and educational activity of V. S. Serova in Simbirsk province

The paper studies the musical and educational activity of V. S. Serova in the village Sudosevo (Simbirsk province) at the turn of XIX-XX centuries. The culmination of this activity was the creation of peasant opera company. It also considers the matters of the repertoire, as well as the matters on classical opera edit for staging by the amateur troupe of peasants.
