The article discusses the term "Musical accompaniment". The purpose and objectives of musical accompaniment in physical education lessons are written. The article presents the stages of learning exercises to music, the basic requirements for the selection of musical compositions, as well as types of musical accompaniment. An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of different types of music on the state of physical activity of younger schoolchildren. The authors have made appropriate recommendations and conclusions on the use of musical accompaniment at physical education lessons in elementary school.
