The article reflects the theme of the development of territories and their relationship with cultural event projects used to form the brand of the territory and attract tourists, especially with music festivals. The authors reveal music festivals as a way to promote the territory and the main tool for forming a single brand, evaluating the effectiveness on the example of Russian and foreign projects; based on the data obtained, they conclude that this method of promotion is appropriate.
