Music festivals in the USSR

The article describes the history of music festivals in the Soviet Union. The first music festivals appear in Leningrad, and subsequently take place in various cities of the country. Many new events faced too close control by the authorities, as a result of which part of the festivals were closed. But it was during the existence of the USSR that the culture of music festivals was formed in the country.
