Electronic musical instruments as synthesizers of musical sound

The article deals with various aspects of the formation and development of musical instruments as synthesizers of musical sound. The author discusses how the music sound changes in the course of development of music-making and transformation of the concept of "music / non-music" sound. The role of information, audio-visual and computer music technologies in the evolution of the musical sound concept is considered.
