We are representatives of different generations, so we have different outlooks. Communicative practice of Russian historians generations in the end of the XIX - early XX centuries

Three generations of Russian historians of the late XIX - early XX centuries are described in this article: historians of the 1860s 70s, historians of the 1880s 90s and historians of the 1900s. The important role of self identification for construction of generation identity is revealed. The specific features as well as traditions of communicative practices of Russian historians are analyzed.
