The need to obtain information from the outside world is one of the human biological needs. Our brain changes under the influence of information processed. An artificially created digital environment becomes the main habitat of modern people, penetrating into all spheres of their life. Digital technologies have a very strong, often ambivalent, effect on our brain, consciousness, thinking, and cognitive abilities. The impact of digital technology can lead to a change in the «cognitive portrait» of humanity, stimulating the development of emotional intelligence. The author discusses this problem in the context of the issue of interhemispheric asymmetry of brain.
