The article considers a model of an effective primary vocational students' training in the system «school - institute» (by the example of physics-mathematics classes in Ulyanovsk State University). Also a description of a system discovering children, gifted in the exact science, is presented. It includes searching, evaluation, selection and educational activity in classes with physics-mathematics bias.
