Initial training in playing the block flute

The article is devoted to the theory, history and practice of performing on wind instruments. Based on personal performing and pedagogical experience, the author of the article identifies the problems of initial learning to play wind instruments, in particular the block flute, and suggests ways to overcome them. The article is intended for teachers and students of music colleges and conservatories.
