National and regional quality management systems in tourism: status, problems, prospects

The article examines the features of tourism development in the existing reality, provides the fundamental documents regulating its formation. Special attention is paid to a systematic and programmatic approach to quality at the national and regional levels. The conclusion is made about the importance of the quality of services provided and the importance of tools that ensure their competitiveness. It is proposed to recognize technical regulation as the main tool for achieving success. A comment is provided on its main element: national standardization. As a basic proposal for the implementation of systems, it is recommended to implement regional quality programs.
