V. A. Remizov's monograph "Cultural and civilizational processes" substantiates the relevance of the study of civilizational development contradictions of the early 21st century. The advantages of the author's analysis of the national idea and cultural and historical meanings of Russian civilization on the background of the desire to reorient the mentality of the peoples of Russia to the civilization paradigm of the West are characterized.
