National ideology as a combining project

The article examines the situation that determines the need for the formation of a national ideology as a project that unites the nation, divided by the confrontation between the Soviet and liberal cultural and historical types. The assembly of a multiethnic nation has historically been carried out in Russia on an ideological basis. The problem of developing a national ideology is complicated by the division of the nation caused by the Cold Civil War between cultural and historical types belonging to the same civilization. Soviet man was defeated, but the attempt to westernize Russia also failed. The way out of this crisis, as the authors of the article believe, may be the formation of a compromise national ideology that plays a unifying role.
