National economic policy of sovereignty and hindsight analysis of its formation

The article formulates the author’s name of modern economic policy as a policy of sovereignty; a definition of the concept is given, the connection of such a policy with the economic security of the state is indicated. The contradiction between the economic policy pursued and its reliance on geopolitics, which is not directly related to economic theory, is further revealed. Subsequently, there is an analysis of the historical formation of this economic policy with the fixation of clear signs of its connection with its foundation in economic theory. The discussion critically analyzes another denial of the connection of modern economic policy with the theory of economics, leading economic security into the subordination of management theory. The article uses historical method, method of unity of historical and logical, as well as methods of analogy, analysis and synthesis.
