The article describes the Crimean architecture of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, features of the modern style. Considered architectural object N.P. Krasnova "Golden Taurus", through the analysis of which was revealed a synthesis of modern style with traditional ethnic elements of decor in the architecture of the peoples of Crimea. The elements of decor of the building of the former national bank “Golden Calf” are considered in detail, their symbols and semantics are revealed.
