National consumer protection system: the concept and mechanisms of protection implementation

This work is devoted to the analysis of the current system of consumer legislation in the Russian Federation and the mechanisms for the implementation of consumer protection by the participants of the national system of consumer protection. The subject of the study is the norms of consumer legislation, as well as the existing legal positions regarding such a concept as the”national system of consumer protection”. The purpose of the study is to analyze the modern mechanisms of consumer protection by the participants of the national consumer protection system and to determine the necessary conditions for the further effective development of this system. In the course of the research, general scientific, specialand private scientific methods of cognition were used. The use of these methodsmade it possible to comprehensively and fully investigate the object and subject of research in their relationship and interdependence. In the work, the author reveals such a concept as the” national system of consumer protection”, defines and analyzes the mechanisms for the implementation of consumer protection by the participants of the national system of consumer protection. Conclusions are drawn based on the results of the author’s analysis of the system of consumer legislation in the Russian Federation. Some problems concerning the definition of the concept of “national consumer protection system”are considered. The author’s position on the issue of legislative consolidation of the concept of “national system of consumer protection” is expressed.
