National Interests of Russia in a Multipolar World
The article examines the evolution of geopolitical identity in the changing planetary architecture under the influence of tectonic shifts. The failed universalization of the world order according to Western liberal democratic patterns led to the end of models of the future world order, characterized by increasing collectivity. The multip olarity promoted by Russia requires a long period and the strengthening of the supranational UN institution as a guarantor of equal rights and opportunities for all countries. An intermediate stage on this path could be the organization of the world community, which is already taking shape today, structured according to the civilizational affiliation of the West – Not the West, which is based on deep historical and cultural conditioning. In this regard, traditional values, which are the imperative of survival and the «glue» of a diverse and contradictory world, are of particular importance in the transition to a new state of world order. In fact, today's turbulence is caused by the West's final attempt to preserve the westernized order on the planet, which is actively opposed by the global majority.
