A graffito inscription on the wall of St. Nicolas in Dvorishche cathedral (Novgorod)

The article presents the inscription of the early 12th century preserved onthe wall of St. Nicolas cathedral in Novgorod the Great founded in 1113. The inscriptionwas not known before. It has been preserved thanks to the copy drawn by the knownNovgorodan restorer G. M. Shtender. The inscription contains the date when some stageof construction works was completed - September 28. In linguistic aspect of interest is theform used to denote the month of September.
