Heater for active grain ventilation systems

Бесплатный доступ

The article discusses the possibility of studying the process of changing air parameters for active ventilation of bulk food stored in silos, in particular grain. For such a change, a heater design is proposed which is controlled by simply changing the pressure supplied to the hopper through perforation of one of the air walls. The significant complexity of heat and mass transfer during storage of grain and the high cost of a full-scale experiment often make it necessary to obtain models in numerical form, for example, by solving the corresponding differential equations. This way is less costly while ensuring high grain quality, since it does not imply the design and manufacture of special experimental plants and a significant amount of raw materials for repeated experiments to obtain reliable results. It was found that a decrease in resistance (R2 = 10 ohms) causes a significant increase in the current in the circuit (i up to 1000 Ma), and a decrease in this resistance with a decrease in air pressure ("straightening" of the nichrome spiral) leads to a decrease in the current value. The obtained results differ in accuracy from the results of field experimental studies in ventilated storages by 10-15%.
