The article explores issues of history spear piercing weapons Kyrgyz Tien Shan. Analyzes data on Kyrgyz spears in the works of Russian and Kyrgyz investigators the second half of XIX–XX centuries. We study the information about the different types of weapons contained in the Kyrgyz historical and ethnographic sources and epic tales. We consider the findings of iron spearheads of public and private museums of Bishkek and Talas. In examining the weapons collections in museums Kyrgyzstan authors of this article have been identified spearheads relating to characteristic features to the culture of the Kyrgyz Tien Shan. As a result of formal and typological analysis of the studied subjects were assigned to a widespread type of copies, which included two separate options allocated tips. The article traced the main stages of the application of this type of weapon warriors of nomadic peoples of Central Asian historical and cultural region in the hunno Syanbi-era periods early and developed the Middle Ages. Studied folkloric sources of information about the process of making copies of Kyrgyz masters, arms manufacturers, and various methods of application copies of the Kyrgyz horse soldiers in attacks the enemy in combat.
