The article considers the tax burden on the economy of the Republic of Belarus. The resulted indicators of the tax burden on the economy and the rate of economic growth of the Republic of Belarus for 2014-2016, as well as calculated specific weights of indirect taxes in percentage of GDP for 2014-2016. Proposals for measures to optimize the tax burden of the Republic of Belarus.
