The confident of heavenly pastures, or the total dictation through the theory of agnonymy

In the following article the problem of agnonymy as an anthropocentrical lexical category is discussed. Agnonyms in the form of lexical and phraseological units ambiguous or unknown for a native speaker are analyzed on the basis of the texts of the Total Dictation. The special attention is given to zones of agnonymical risk for native speakers, which may include adopted lexis, special lexis, rare and outmoded words, linguocultural units. The units, which are taken from the dictations of 2012-2014, are given as examples of agnonymies in Total Dictation.
