Napoleon in Russian historiography during preparation for and celebration of 100-anniversary of the patriotic war of 1812

The article reveals the image of Napoleon Bonaparte in the literature, devoted to the 100-anniversary of the victory of Russia in the Patriotic war of 1812. The author critically estimates the main ways of development of the historiography of this topic, which have been formed since the end of the war.
