Direction of development of the concept of control function

The article discusses the classic management approach to the control function, indicates the shortcomings of this approach in the form of oversupported resources and conflict between performers and managers due to the imposition of performance standards. It is indicated that the use of Lean technology allows you to get rid of these shortcomings by shifting the control function to the performers themselves, which ultimately gives a decrease in the scrap level by 5-50 times. Since the focus of responsibility for control shifts from managers to performers, it is assumed that with the emergence of new technologies in the digital economy, it is possible to transfer control to the consumer.
