Direction and spatial alignment mechanism of the Russian economic space polarization

The article gives a general description of Russia in the global economic environment and trends of development, reveals the concept of regions polarization and the essence of the alignment polarization strengthening. Also, the article examines the investment as a key factor in the alignment of the polarization, classification of districts of the Russian Federation based on the level of gross regional product and the volume of investment. The mechanism of the spatial alignment of the polarization is also described.
