Russian universities are increasingly becoming a partner of the state in supporting students' families in the context of an active state family policy. The national project “Family” aims universities to introduce new initiatives, according to which it provides for the creation of a comfortable environment in educational institutions for young student families and mothers with children. The article analyzes the assistance provided in Russian universities to family students. The aim of the work is to characterize the assistance measures with which universities have approached a new stage in the implementation of family policy. The objectives are: to evaluate university documents and information materials aimed at student families and students with children; to identify the most common areas and measures. The empirical basis of the research consists of data from our own formalized content analysis of comprehensive family student assistance programs and “single window” information materials on university websites for this category of students. The information was collected in late 2024 and early 2025. The sample consisted of 97 universities. The novelty of the research is due to the use of information sources that have not been used so far to analyze university family policy. The results showed that universities are actively taking measures to create conditions for family students working to solve the problem set in the federal project “Family Support” of the national project “Family”. In addition to financial assistance, support is provided in the following areas: education, housing, child care, employment, psychological, legal assistance, educational, cultural and recreational measures, information support. At the same time, it is necessary to finalize the structure and content of existing normative university documents (programs and regulations), as well as “single windows”
