This article is devoted to the analysis of the study results carried out within the framework of R&D «Social Capital of the University: Research, Measurement, Impact on Activity Efficiency». The study revealed that the level of the social capital development as well as the instruments of its accumulation and use directly or indirectly (depending on the element of social capital and its development/use directions) affect the efficiency indicators of the university. At the same time, most of the heads of the university do not imagine how to fully use the opportunities of human capital both at the level of the department, at the level of faculties/institutes and the university as a whole.
