Ways to improve international legal assistance in criminal cases in the Russian Federation

Introduction: the author examines the factors that enhance the efficacy of legal assistance in criminal cases, identifies concerns and features in a preliminary investigation when international cooperation of law enforcement agencies is required, and elucidates the primary reasons for the incompatibility between domestic law and international law. In light of the findings of the study, the author puts forth suggestions for future development in this field and recommendations for enhancing the efficacy of the preliminary investigation body.
