Directions of perfection of state policy for regional development by identifying promising specializations of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation

The article discusses the prospects of spatial development of Russia by stimulating the specializations of each region. In this regard, the share of individual regions in the all-Russian values of socio-economic indicators is analyzed, thereby determining the most developed industries in the studied territories. The result revealed that the number of constituent entities make the largest contribution to the Russian economy through the production of agricultural products (Kursk oblast, Belgorod oblast), others have pronounced in mining (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Yugra), and others comprehensively developed (for example, Moscow oblast: manufacturing, water and wastewater, agriculture). A special place is occupied by the cities of Federal importance-Moscow and St. Petersburg-have a significant share in the Russian economy through the concentration of scientific and industrial capital, as well as the placement of head offices of large companies (operating in other regions)...
