Directions for improving the methods of investigating crimes in the timber industry complex

Based on the analysis of the materials of judicial and investigative practice, as well as legislative acts, the article identifies the main directions for improving the methodology for investigating crimes in the field of illegal timber trafficking, namely: improving the organizational and tactical aspects of the production of investigative actions, the technical and forensic tools used, organizational forms and types of interaction between various departments in the investigation of crimes in the field of the timber industry. Examples of the practice of investigating such crimes are provided. The author gives recommendations on tactical methods for inspecting the scene of incidents and the possibilities of using modern scientific and technical means in the course of their implementation.
