Reproductive potential of male rats in the experimental model of wildfire

The assessment of the indicators of the reproductive potential of male white rats exposed to smoke for 1 month was carried out. Examination of exposed animals included determination of the spermatogenesis index and the level of DNA fragmentation and methylation in the testes and blood. A statistically significant increase in the level of genome-wide methylation in the blood of rats exposed to smoke was revealed. A morphometric study of the testis tissue revealed a violation of spermatogenesis indices in exposed rats.
