The article describes a case of successful treatment for intestinal fistula developed as a complication after appendectomy. The reasons for external intestinal fistulas usually are: pyoinflammatory process in the abdominal cavity at the moment of the operation caused by either circulatory disturbance or inflammation in the intestinal wall as well as tactical and technical errors during both surgical intervention and management of postoperative period.
