The article is devoted to the study of the characteristics of violent crimes committed by women in a state of affect. The psychological and social factors leading to such acts, as well as the specifics of the emotional states accompanying their commission, are considered. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the state of affect and the long-term impact of negative factors, such as domestic violence, family conflicts and social isolation. The main motives and causes of crimes are identified, including the desire to protect oneself or loved ones from an aggressor, the inability to resolve the conflict peacefully and accumulated emotional stress. It is noted that such acts are usually committed spontaneously and are defensive in nature. The article emphasizes the importance of taking into account socio-psychological circumstances when qualifying these crimes, as well as the need to develop comprehensive preventive measures aimed at reducing the level of domestic violence and supporting women in crisis situations. The study raises issues of social protection, rehabilitation and law enforcement practices related to this category of crimes.
