The heritage of K.D. Ushinskiy in the teaching methods of the Russian language

K.D. Ushinskiy is the founder of the teaching methods of the Russian language at primary school. He laid the theoretical basis of all the parts of the teaching methods: the teaching methods of literacy; the teaching methods of reading; the teaching methods of grammar and orthography and the teaching methods of speech development. The teacher developed, established scientifically the new method of teaching to read and write - the sound analytical and synthetical method, the method of the explanatory reading, the theory of the development of the spelling skills, the system of the exercises of the development of the students’ “gift for speaking” and created the textbooks for the primary teaching to read and write and the methodology guidelines to them.
