The publication was prepared on the basis of the speeches of the participants in the round table “Archpriest George Florovsky (1893-1979) - theologian, philosopher, historian of the Church. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the death of an outstanding Orthodox thinker” held on December 20, 2019 in the Literary Lounge of the Publishing House of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy. The event was organized by the scholarly and educational project of the Publishing House of SPbTA “Byzantine Cabinet” together with the Department of Theology of SPbTA. Both the theses of the reports made at the round table and the replies received later in writing by new participants in the scholarly discussion are published.
