Hereditary ataxia of unspecified origin

The article is devoted to the discussion of a clinical case of a rather rare form of rapidly progressing hereditary ataxia with pronounced coordination disorders and damage to cortical structures. The most important of the instrumental methods of research in children with unspecified types of hereditary ataxia are neuroimaging, primarily magnetic resonance imaging or MR-tractography, which allows a detailed assessment of the morphology of lesions of the cerebellum and other parts of the brain, including afferent and efferent pathways.
