The article discusses the concept and types of mentoring, the features of the introduction of a mentoring system for the adaptation of young professionals, analyzes the main principles for the interaction of mentors and young professionals, examines the advantages that can be obtained through the use of this tool. It is revealed that the methodology of mentoring relationships contributes not only to the adaptation of young professionals, but also to their career development, which provides certain benefits and advantages for both the organization and the employee. Indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of a mentor's work are the achievement of the goals set by the employee and the solution of tasks during the mentoring period.
