Mentoring in vocational guidance, socio-pedagogical adaptation and resocialization of children in difficult life situations (on the example of the project “Steps to the profession”)

The article is devoted to the current problem of mentoring. This paper examines the theory and practice of mentoring, embodied in the innovative social project “Steps to the Profession”, implemented by House of student youth “Magnit” with the assistance of the Fund for Supporting Children in Difficult Life Situations. The authors analyze the modern vision of mentoring from the standpoint of strategic objectives and regulations, paying attention to the connection between mentoring and self-determination and vocational guidance of students; refer to the scientific content of the concept of “mentoring”. Considerable attention is paid to the practice of mentoring minors who are on preventive records, within the framework of three forms of mentoring: “teacher - student”, “student - student”, “employer - student”. The authors make conclusions about the effectiveness of mentoring in vocational guidance of project participants to working professions and admission to professional educational organizations in the city of Magnitogorsk.
