The article prompted the author's vision of the procedure of complex assessment of the labor market. Key aspects of a comprehensive assessment of the labor market are considered. They are: direction of change of indicators and trends of growth or decline. The complex socio-economic assessment of the labor market of the Republic of Crimea is done. The tendency of growth of the population's needs in the workplace, as well as the increase in supply on the secondary labor market is revealed.
