Scientific and practical prospects of state natural reserves in the system of nature use of Russia

The article presents several potential areas of activity of state strict reserves, which should empower conservation science and to emphasize the importance of reserves as science centers and laboratories under the open sky. It is proposed to actively develop climatic and biogeographical researches, to provide services to traditional users of natural resources (including sale of existing information). It is necessary to develop environmental education activities with subsequent visualization using multimedia tools and traditional directions of ecological tourism in nature reserves.
