Scientific and technical priorities for modernization of productive forces

The article presents a study of modern scientific and technological priorities that may underlie the transition to sustainable development. The authors have attempted to identify the modern trends of development of productive forces, during which revealed that the main technical contradiction is the contradiction in the absence of advanced technologies in the production of the material sphere, on the one hand, and promoting the ideals of "consumer society", on the other.
