Scientific and technological development of the Novosibirsk region: status and problems

The leading role in innovative development and building Russia’s technological sovereignty is assigned to scientific and technological innovations and individual advanced territories of the state, which can act as the main driving force of the transition from extensive to intensive growth. The study of the phenomenon of the formation of innovation growth points in individual territories and their gradual transformation into full-fledged innovation ecosystems is a relevant area of research. In the article the authors consider regional strategic and tactical legislative and regulatory documents regulating the scientific and technological sphere of the region based on the data of the Novosibirsk Region; analyze statistical data reflecting the state of scientific and research developments, their financing and the level of innovation activity in the region over the past ten years; assess the effectiveness of the implementation of state and regional programmes supporting the scientific and technological sphere; identify the potential of scientific and technological development in the region.
