This paper examines the scientific and theoretical foundations as well as the practical approaches to preparing future teachers for developing healthy lifestyle skills among schoolchildren. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing demands of globalization, increasing educational requirements, and the decline in the health of the younger generation, which highlight the importance of teachers’ competence in preserving and strengthening children’s health. The formation of a healthy lifestyle culture among students is impossible without systematic and targeted preparation of pedagogical staff capable of integrating health-preserving technologies into the educational process. The paper analyzes modern approaches to pedagogical support for health preservation, explores the psychological and pedagogical aspects of motivating students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, and identifies key professional competencies necessary for teachers to successfully carry out this task. Special attention is given to both international and national practices that demonstrate the effectiveness of a comprehensive approach combining educational, developmental, and social components. The practical section focuses on specific methods, forms, and tools for preparing future teachers: the use of interactive technologies, project-based learning, training sessions, and the modeling of health-preserving situations during lessons and extracurricular activities. The study also emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, collaboration with parents, and interaction with medical professionals. Additionally, it highlights the need to cultivate strong professional values among future teachers, including commitment to health promotion and the ability to analyze and refine their own pedagogical strategies. The findings show that successful preparation of teachers for promoting healthy lifestyles among schoolchildren requires a continuous and holistic approach that integrates theoretical knowledge, methodological skills, practical experience, and a personal commitment to recognizing health as a fundamental life value.
