The aim of the study is to study the effectiveness of dairy cattle breeding when using energy supplement “Rumer”. A research and production experiment was conducted on cows in the early period of lactation. In contrast to the control group, the animals of the experimental group were additionally injected with liquid high-energy food "Rumer". The feed supplement was individually fed to each animal at the rate of 300 ml per head per day for 60 days after calving. The use of feed energy "Rumer" had a positive effect on the food activity. The consumption of feed mixture in absolute terms increased by 7.1%, and in relative - by 7.8%. The content of erythrocytes and hemoglobin in the blood of the cows of the experimental group at the end of the experiment was slightly higher - by 0.5% and 6.9%, respectively, and leukocytes - slightly lower by 1.0%. The experimental data showed that the addition of the experimental energy feed "Rumer" to the diet of dairy cattle during the transition period affected favorably the amount of milk produced: the average daily milk yield of the animal from the experimental group exceeded the control group by 2.3 kg and 10.4%. Analyzing the experimental data on gross milk yield, we also observed a significant superiority of cows of the 2nd experimental group over their analogues from the control group by 211 kg or 10.3%. The study of the qualitative composition of milk when using the tested "Rumer" feed additive in the diet of lactating cows similarly showed a positive trend - an increase in the absolute value by 0.2% or in the relative value by 5.2% in fat content and in the absolute value by 0.21% or in a relative value of 6.6% for milk protein. Thus, it seems possible to suggest dairy cattle farms introducing the energy feed additive “Rumer” into the feed ration of dairy cattle in the early period of lactation.
