Scientific research on the study of weeds of Russia

The article presents material on conducting research on the study of weeds in various soil and climatic conditions. Well-known scientists, studying this issue, noted that weeds exist for a longer time than cultivated plants, also finding out the reasons that form their species composition and the determining role of each species in it, while paying special attention to taxonomy, ecology and methods of reproduction of weeds in agrophytocenoses. One of the authors involved in the study of weed vegetation was Alexander Ivanovich Maltsev, the founder of the national science of weeds.
